This vintage USA made J & D Tool Company M5 military knife was purchased from an estate, and is in "as found" condition.

 

M1 Garand rifle bayonet is purportedly a Korean War, Vietnam War or WWII issue- the exact age or era of production is unknown.

 

It measures approximately 11-1/4" in total length, with a 6-1/2" blade.

 

Knife has what appears to be most of the original patina, and there is little to no rust or pitting to the blade.

 

There are no cracks, breaks, or chips to the handle we could see.

 

Of course, as with most knives of this age, it may need a sharpening since there are small common nicks to the cutting edges.

 

The original M8 A1 V.P. Co. sheath / scabbard shown is also included, and it has small wear (as pictured).

 

Snap to hold the handle in place works well.
