Richard Capes was a professional artist who owned Capes Studio of Art & Design in Sarasota, Florida.  He was a member of the Florida Artists Group, and has donated several original pieces to charitable foundations in the Sarasota, Bradenton, and
Long Boat Key area.  Pieces have also been displayed at the Art Center just outside of Chicago Art Gallery.
