Originally from Thailand, the ornamental 8-12" plants are filled with up to 200 small fruits! Ripens to bright red pods growing to around 2- 3" (5-7cm) long and  can even be used while still small and green. The hot peppers can be used fresh, preserved in oil or vinegar, and used as paste or powder. Dries and stores for 4 or 5 years without losing punch!. Found in Thai cooking, the hot chile releases very strong lingering heat and registers between 50,000 & 100,000 Scoville units. They are used in many cuisines; in stews, broths, stir fries, noodle dishes, coconut soups, and authentic Thai curry. 

The chilli peppers can be refrigerated, for up to two weeks. They can easily be dried or frozen for later use.
