An Overview of Ulrica Hydman-Vallien’s Tulipa Series

Ulrica Hydman-Vallien (1938–2018) has designed many classics for the Swedish glassworks in Åfors, Boda, and Kosta. One of the most well-known series is Tulipa from 1992. It consists of art and utility glass: cups, plates, glasses, bowls, pitchers, goblets, vases, and candleholders. They were crafted and decorated by hand with a colorful decor and flower motif. The series was in production until 2011.
