The Whirlpool water inlet valve is an ERP replacement part responsible for controlling the flow of water into the washing machine during the filling cycle. It consists of solenoid valves that open and close to allow the water to enter the machine. The inlet valve receives signals from the washer's control board to regulate the water flow, ensuring the proper amount of water is filled for each wash cycle.

The Whirlpool water inlet valve can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

This part fixes the following symptoms:

  • Insufficient water entering the washer during the filling cycle
  • No water flowing into the machine at all
  • Water continuously fills the washer even when it's not in use
  • Leaking or dripping water from the inlet valve area
