To root and grow this cutting, bury the lower 1/3 of the cutting into good potting soil or compost in a pot. Keep the soil moist, and new shoots and roots will start to grow after a few weeks.
The plant is sun-loving, and thrives well in very dry and hot environments. While it adapts well to various soil types, it prefers well drained soils, or even rocky terrain.
