This is a Vintage Granite Ware French Match Holder.  ALLUMETTES is French for matches. It measures 4 1/2" long and 2 1/2"wide on the bottom part. It measures 6 1/4 " from top to bottom.  The graniteware is shiny and in very nice condition.  The top has a few chips (which is normal for vintage graniteware).  This is a rare pattern.
