Malabar Red Stem Spinach (Basella alba), also known as Redvine Spinach or Ceylon, is not actually a true spinach but resembles in taste, texture, and appearance. Malabar has ornamental and culinary characteristics and is great for salads and stir-fries. Some say it tastes similar to a mild swiss chard. This vigorous climbing Asian vine flourishes in heat and humidity but isn't drought tolerant. Will need to be staked or trellised. Deep red stems with lush green leaves
