A double curved, sterling silver minimalist brooch from the 1950's. The silver pin has a modernist style, made by Taxco, Mexico.
Two "J" shaped curves begin on top of each other at the tip of the pin. The top "J" ends first, at 2.75", while the bottom curve is a bit larger at 3.25" long. The width of the pin is 1.75" and since the designs are layered, the brooch has a depth of .25".
Starting at the top, the bars of silver are round at 3mm thickness. Then the bars gently flatten at the bend of the pin to 2mm thickness.
Marked - Mexico 925 - TP-41, the brooch is in excellent condition with minimal wear. The standard clasp is in fine working order. The piece weighs 17g.
