A stunning brooch from the 1960's. This pinwheel pin features seven gemstones set in sterling silver.

The center stone is large cabochon, dark green in color with flecks of red, green, and white. This measures .75" in diameter.

Spokes are attached to the center alternating with green and orange gemstones and having spokes with open circles between.

Center stone has been identified as a Heliotrope Jasper (Bloodstone), the light green stones as Green Aventurine, (a quartz stone variety), and the orange stones, as Carnelian Agate.

The smaller stones are each, approximately .50" in diameter. The silver open circles between the stones measure about .25" in diameter.

All in all, the pin measures 2" in diameter and has a total weight of 23g. It is unmarked, however acid tested as sterling.

Being from the 1960's, the piece is in excellent condition. One of the orange stones does have a natural blemish as shown in the photos.
