Chaenomeles/Flowering Quince - also known as Japanese Quince - offers a profusion of blossoms early in the spring, before other plants are blooming. These flowers are adored by pollinators and are followed by small, yellowish apricot sized fruits that ripen in the fall. These fruits called chaenomeles can be made into jams and jellies. You can also use cut branches for beautiful cut arrangements!

Plants are easy to grow and are both drought and adaptable to many different soil conditions. Plants make a good hedge about 6 feet tall.
