True Vintage item from the 1950s
Materials: satin, boned corset, lined
True Vintage 1950's Plum Black Rockabilly Dress. SIZE 8. SMALL
Description.
This is a classic rockabilly type satin type dress. Though not a full circle there is plenty of material in the skirt. There is no label and looks like it has been handmade,lined The dress itself is a black satin type material with 3 tier of black velvet. The waist is only a 26"so unsure what size this is but I would probably say a 10. There is a bone down each side panel from top to waist . There is a v at the bust line and 2 velvet ribbons on for straps. The top of the dress is fully lined and there is a cotton underskirt. It is 55" long from the top of the strap to the hem. The skirt looks like it has been burnt and there are a few small holes, please see picture. These will be mended before dispatch Something like this would be double if not treble if buying from Portabella Road or one of the many Vintage Shops, so this is a bargin at starting price. Please note that this is a vintage dress (60 years plus) so do not expect high street standards, as you will be disappointed. This is vintage item and may need a refresh as it has been sitting around in storage for many years. Please remember that this is over 60 years old so there is wear and tear and will not be of high street condition.
