Planting and Location

Light
Bright, indirect light: Place your Hoya Eskimo in a spot where it gets plenty of indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Watering
Moderate watering: Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly when you do water, allowing excess water to drain away. Overwatering can lead to root rot.

Humidity: Hoyas enjoy higher humidity levels. If your home is dry, consider using a humidifier or placing a tray of water near the plant to increase humidity.

Soil
Well-draining soil: Use a potting mix designed for succulents or make your own by mixing regular potting soil with perlite or orchid bark to improve drainage.

Temperature
Warm temperatures: Hoya Eskimo prefers temperatures between 60-80°F (15-27°C). Avoid placing it in drafty areas or near cold windows during winter.

Feeding
Fertilize during the growing season: Use a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the spring and summer. Reduce feeding in the fall and winter when the plant's growth slows down.

Pruning
Minimal pruning: Prune only to remove dead or yellowing leaves or to control the shape of the plant. Hoyas can bloom from the same spurs year after year, so avoid cutting off the flower stems.

Repotting
Repot sparingly: Hoyas prefer to be slightly root-bound, so only repot when necessary, typically every 2-3 years. Choose a pot that is only slightly larger than the current one.
