Antique Real Photo Postcard, circa 1920. Depicting a scene at Eagle Camp in South Hero, Vermont. Handwritten message on reverse side penned by Beulah Volney Collins reads in part, "This is the bluff made famous by the 'washing bee.' Can you not see in memory the grand view from these rocks? I suppose the ice cakes are grinding them now." Divided back, writing on back, not postally used. Condition: This is an original photo postcard, not a copy or reproduction. It is in excellent condition. Comments: Eagle Camp was founded in 1891 on Rockwell's Bay on the west shore of South Hero, Vermont by Rev. George W. Perry. The camp has been running continuously and managed by members of the Perry family for its entire existence except for a six-year period in the early 1970s.
