LCDR Commissioning Plaque with U.S. Navy USN Emblem & Eagle 6x9 inch 1967

Estate find: Wood Plaque with light metal emblem and eagle. Measures overall about 9" x 6" x 1" approx.

This came from the estate of John Cammall in San Diego, Calif. who was aboard the VAW-114 Hormel Hawgs Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron in 1967, Vietnam era.

The US Navy seal and the Eagle appear to be hollow and made out of some kind of medal along with the name plaque. 

The metal shows some age, pitting.
