This work captures the exuberance and fun of the circus and all the odd
combinations of people, objects and animals under the dim of a big top
tent. It's refreshing and fun. Just like the circus.
The work stands by itself as it is made from a book cover being cut
off an old book, and then
using the interior binding paper as the background. A lush deep
red. This work should not be displayed in direct sunlight, due to
possible paper fade.
Artist Notes about the work: This work
is part of a series of sketches I did when studying the early drawings
of the post impressionists,
the the theme of this piece was made after the a
circus troop came to town and exhibited their performance talents under
the big top at Seaside Park in Ventura, also known as the "fair grounds"
down on C street. On of the most famous surf spots on the
California coast. I breath art, I need it daily like air.
And for me time stops when I'm creating it. I'd love for you to be
