ECHINACEA PURPUREA MAGNUS CONEFLOWER Perennial
Flower color: Lavender - Rose

Echinacea is an excellent pollinator plant.  Attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, bees and more.  They are hardy, drought-tolerant, and long-blooming. After the flower is done, the flower head is very attractive and feeds birds. They grow well in zones 3 - 8,  but in colder climates, they may need a little bit of winter protection their first year. Once established, they are rugged and hardy.

Grows up to 40" tall
Flower up to 6" across
Light: Full sun or partial shade. But will do better in full sun.
Water: They can tolerate drought but will do better with regular water
Soil: Prefers a well draining soil

Plating seeds:

Indoors:
While you can have success without it, some people recommend to give seeds cold stratification for 30 days, before being planted.  I normally do without and with stratification and I don't see much difference.
Sow seeds at 1/4" deep.
Germination in about 20 days
Keep soil moist but no soggy, at about 68 F.
Plant outside after danger of frost.

Outdoors:
After 30 days of cold stratification plant outside.
(sometimes I don't do stratification, and to be honest, I don't see much difference in germination rate)
