Do you have a 2006+ in-dash Ford or Mercury am/fm/CD or CD6 radio manufactured by Visteon that has a blank display?  If so, this is the repair for you.  Simply complete the payment process and we will send you instructions to get your radio to us for the repair.  We typically perform the repair within 3 business days of receiving your radio.  It comes with a 6 month warranty.

This is for radios manufactured by Visteon ONLY!!  Ford used several radio suppliers but, if your display is out, you probably have the Visteon version.  However, you will want to check before purchasing.  The part number sticker on the side of your radio must say VISTEON on it.  (Usually in very small print, to the left of the part number.)

This is NOT a repair for broken, scratched or damaged display boards.  If your board has physical damage and, as a result, requires additional parts (or complete replacement), it would not be covered as part of this repair.  This is for a burnt out displays only.  Refunds will not be issued for any time/parts put into the evaluation/repair process (or return shipping), so please do not purchase from this listing if your display problem is the result of damage.  This is not the repair for you.

INSTRUCTIONS


Instructions for shipping your radio to us will be emailed to you within one business day of your payment.  Why do we need your whole radio?  Simple.  The plug on the back of the face can be tricky to re-insert into the radio mainboard.  It is very easy to damage it trying to put the face back on.  We don't want you to break your plug, then assume our repair did not work or, worse, caused additional problems.  It's better if we do the work here so we can make sure your radio is re-assembled correctly and working properly.

When you ship your radio to us, you will need to use common sense.  You don't want your radio to get here with additional problems because it wasn't packaged properly.  The major shipping companies require a minimum of 2 inches of fill on every side of the item in order for them to potentially honor an insurance claim.  Here are some strong recommendations for your shipment to us:

  • Shipping cost is based on weight and zip code.  This site does the figuring, not us.  If you feel their calculation is high, you might be underestimating the package weight and/or current shipping costs from our zip code (62401) to yours.  Please don't ding us for shipping in the ratings, as we have no control over ever-increasing carrier rates.
  • We will enter a tracking number into your order details here on the site.  They will email it to you if your notification preferences are set correctly.
  • A signature is not typically required. If you are not home to receive the package, it will most likely be left at your door.  Please monitor it's progress and arrange to collect it when it arrives.
