Tropical Forest with Monkeys by Henri Rousseau - Art Print 18 x 14 in

Henri Rousseau was a self-taught artist and painted this picture, Tropical Forest with Monkeys, in 1910.

He was born in Laval, northwest France in May 1844, and was known for his very detailed and bold images of tropical jungles, wild beasts and exotic people.

Rousseau didn't manage to make a living from his paintings, but his style influenced the avant-garde art movement at that time.

He died in Paris in September 1910.
