Gamers join the Galactic Empire or the Rebel Alliance and battle for control of iconic locations in EA's 2015 reboot of Star Wars: Battlefront. Players can freely switch between first-person and third-person perspectives as they fight across worlds like Hoth, Endor, Tatooine, and Sullust, either on foot, or aboard vehicles like speeder bikes, snowspeeders, and AT-ATs. Gamers can also pilot X-wings, TIE fighters, and the Millennium Falcon in aerial dogfights, and they can unlock and control classic characters, including Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, Han Solo, and Darth Vader.

Star Wars: Battlefront is optimized for multiplayer action, and as such there is no campaign mode, but solo gamers can still complete missions offline with the help of AI bots or with a friend in co-op action. There are 12 online multiplayer maps that each support up to 40 combatants, and gamers can share unlocked weapons with teammates.
