Annual. Tender perennial (zones 8-11) Full sun preferred.

One of the most interesting flowers for use in fresh or dried flower arrangements!

The plants foliage is almost silvery and grass like topped with golden yellow balls of joy.

Seed can be harder to germinate than many other seed varieties. They can take 14-18 days for germination to occur.

Best when seed is started indoors up to 6 weeks before your regions last frost date. Cover seed very lightly with vermiculite or other light medium. Keep moist with light misting or bottom water to ensure little to no soil or seed disruption. Will need warmth to germinate. Prefers 65-75° soil temps. Heat mat and overhead lights highly recommended. Harden off for several days to a week before transplanting outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Supporting stems once plants are established will help with long straight stems for use in bouquets.
