Sanctuary Lamp –8.5x11"

We are enamored with this print. It was a design for a sanctuary lamp for the St. Hildegard’s Abbey in the upper Danube Valley, Beuron, Germany.It is beautiful and subtly Catholic. An intriguing image -- an objet d'art. The gold color adds warmth to its formal qualities. it would look perfect on a lot of walls, especially with wood or wainscoting. It would look great in a lot of dens or offices. It is, of course, a nice gift for a priest. This was done for an expansion the Abbey in the early years of the 20th Century. The October 1907 date in the lower right hand corner we believe was a document control mark used so the goldsmiths could make sure they had the most recent drawing. Like many of our prints, we are the only source offering this in the world. Two frames are available.
