Deep kernels look like large melon seeds - very unusual. This type of corn originated with the Native People of the Eastern woodlands and became widely grown and known for spectacular harvests. It was pushed aside by hybrid varieties after WWII, which is unfortunate. Each sturdy, 8 foot stalk sets two tightly husked, chunky ears. I have multicolors red, white, orange and black and will send a mixture. (80 seeds per packet)
120 days to dry down, though, so start this one early.
