Here's the story of three generations of painters--American Impressionist Edmund Greacen; his daughter, artist Nan Greacen; and his granddaughter, illustrator Renee Faure. They each developed their own distinct approaches, as the author--also a grand-daughter of Edmund Greacen--points out.
WESTERN ARTISTS IN CHINA by Mary Carroll Nelson. Last fall, the Driscol Gallery in Denver, Colorado, sponsored an exhibition of American western art in China. Here Nelson, who accompanied the 59 artists on the trip, discusses how the show was organized and the gratifying response of the Chinese people.
