The Pisang Ceylon banana (Musa acuminata) is a tropical fruiting plant that can be eaten fresh or cooked. It's also known as the Lady Finger banana, Monkey banana, Sucrier, Golden banana, and Egg banana. The Pisang Ceylon banana can grow up to 15 feet tall and 10 feet wide, with large, lush green leaves that create a dramatic tropical effect. It can tolerate temperatures as low as 32° F and prefers full to part sun and low to medium water. Flower stalks usually form in mid to late summer, and after producing fruit, the stalks die and baby plants grow around the base
