BRACE (2) DAISY 118 TARGETEER - 1937/1952

Lot of Two

RM072024-8

Own a piece of Daisy history from pre war to post war. Both rust free and in excellent undented working condition. BOTH made in Plymouth Michigan. The earlier version is identified by a fixed sight (1937-1941) the later by an adjustable sight (1949-1952)

Both cock smoothly and the shot tubes remove and engage smoothly.  All seams tight. These were indoor very low velocity family fun. 100 FPS when new, which could barely break a light bulb at 10 feet. The compression and range have of course become wimpy after 80 years. They require micro shot 118.  In those days these had a great balance and feel.  MADE IN AMERICA.  And Proud of it.  The size is 9.5x13.5.”.

Enclosed is an original bottom of the box with a metal rod on a wire with two red metal spinners to be set up as target and trap.

Also included original instructions.  Both are in time-worn condition and in need of restoration. Also included is a photocopy of the  patent from 1936. A unique seller created magnet with the Xmas ad from Boys Magazine is included as well.

The entire set is a great addition to any collection. These very low velocity toys are shipped with shot tubes packed separately.
