Vintage French Style Red Gold Lamp Light Tole Shade

I believe this once had a white waffle shade (that holds the metal shade).

I do not have the glass lamp shade and the first picture was staged.

Has paint loss and fragile in areas due to age.

Unsure if this is a 3 way or the part needs to be replaced.
