In 1903, the Wright Brothers made theirs record flight (852 ft).  The wireless telephone shook the world in 1906 in San Francisco shook with a devastating earthquake. The average worker earned .22 cents an hour coffee was .15 cents per pound and gas was .14 cents per gallon. Automobile sold for about $1,500 but there were fewer than 150 mi of paved highway."
