The 1941/42 Basketball guide and rules book has a loose and split cover. The 1941 Softball and Volleyball guide does not have the rules which came originally as an attached envelope. The paper on all of these though was decent quality so aging is not bad. I was a referee in several of these sports (Basketball and Softball) and I ran across these somewhere years ago and kept them as a curiosity. They are fun to look at and of some historical importance but it is time for me to pass them on to someone younger. NO I am not that old, I called my first games in 1973 but the rules we played by then were probably closer to these books than to the newest ones.

Seven sports manuals/guides cover most of what women were competing in athletically at the time. Not things you see every day.
