This set of 6 handmade vintage potholders are in the shape of a child's head wearing a bonnet.  In my research I have found similar patterns called both Bonnet Babies and Sun Bonnet Sue.  All of the facial features are hand embroidered, and the hats are accented with vintage rick rack trim.  4 of the heads are facing left and 2 are facing right.  Each one has a small plastic ring sewn onto the top to allow for hanging.  They measure approximately 6 inches by 6 1/4 inches.  They are handmade. Two have contrasting colors on the back, and the others back matches the color of the bonnet.  All do have some very minor age wear.  They don't look like they saw much if any use.  These would make a wonderful addition to any vintage kitchen linen collection.
