APPLICATIONS
Not compatible with satellite radio. Make sure your engineering (part) number ends in 18C815-A something or 18C815-B (AA, AB, AC, BA, BB, BF, etc) because they did make different versions and the bass is often lacking if you have the wrong system. Our research indicates it is compatible with 5W7T, 6W7T and 8W7T models, as long as they end in 18C815-A something or 18C815-B something (AA, AB, AC, BA, BB, BF, etc). It is NOT satellite radio capable.
Other Ford vehicles had a different mounting system and plugs. If your current radio does not have two small holes at each side on the face of the radio and the gray plugs pictured, this radio is NOT the right one for you. If you have the basic am/fm or am/fm/cassette, your plugs are definitely different and you would not be able to use this without a wiring adapter, like our RS-FDWA-WPP2. Even then, you wouldn't have the factory subwoofer that was normally paired with this stereo, so the bass will be lacking. (You may have to adjust the bass all the way up on this just to have any amount of bass at all. Even then, it may not be acceptable if you're an audiophile.) Please don't ignore the important information we went out of our way to include in this ad...
ADDITIONAL INFO
Follow the clear instructions in this ad and match your engineering (part) number and you won't have any problems. If you have questions, please email.
There is a 90 day warranty on this radio. Warranty exchanges are accepted during this period but only for the exact same item and only if we confirm the problem here. Don't buy it just because it's cheap. A difference in functionality because of a difference in part number does not qualify as a functional defect.
Some Ford radios require programming. We have found that is not usually the case with this radio but, if you should find you need programming to activate a feature, that is outside our control. It's Ford's doing.
This has a non-standard (non-US) radio tuner. As a result, FM frequencies go up one number at a time instead of two. (98.9-99.0-99.1, instead of 98.9-99.1-99.3.) The AM frequencies also go up in odd increments, which can result in not being able to tune in to the exact frequency you need. It is usually close enough that it will still work but it seems strange and you may not be satisfied with it. If you are a heavy AM user, you might want to consider a different radio.
ABOUT US:
We are not a salvage yard. We are not affiliated with a salvage yard. We don't have the typical parts sales mentality. We specialize in one thing: factory replacement audio/video. We're very picky and strive to provide radios that we'd be proud to have in our own vehicles. When you buy a radio from us, you're getting a unit that is guaranteed to work. Occasionally problems arise with electronics. However, please understand we never knowingly send out an item with problems. It's not in our best interest to send out defective units because we'll just waste time and money replacing them under our warranty. We aim to keep our warranty returns low and our customer satisfaction high. Please give us a chance to add you to our long list of satisfied customers.
