A prop Emersus shoulder bag from M. Night Shyamalan’s 2013 Sci-fi / adventure film, After Earth. In a future where Man was forced to abandon Earth a millennium ago due to cataclysmic events, General Cypher (Will Smith) and his estranged son, Kitai (Jaden Smith) crash land on the derelict planet when their ship is damaged during a vicious asteroid shower. With his father seriously injured, it is up to Kitai to risk a variety of perils in order to release a distress signal. During the film’s opening various people can be seen wearing bags as they board giant vessels evacuating them from Earth.

Made of a beige poly-nylon blend, this item features a single zip-closure across the top of the bag with carrying straps on either side of the zipper. A single adjustable shoulder strap is fixed from end to end with plastic strap locks. A small pouch with zip closure is also located on one side of the bag with an Emersus mission patch stitched to the opposite side. The patch is red, white, and blue depicting an ark transport shuttle taking off with the designation “3 MMLXXI.”

This item shows light signs of wear such as creases to the inseam and some scuffs to the mission patch, however the item remains in very good overall condition.
