This Second Edition of Lawrence's poems and verses (originally published by William Heineman Ltd. and distributed in the U.S. by Heron Books) is apparently the most truly compete collection that has been published. Following an Introduction and editor/author notes, the two volumes contain the Rhyming & Unrhyming Poems from the original 1928 COMPLETE POEMS, the text of the 1929 privately printed PANSIES, his 1932 LAST POEMS, plus hitherto uncollected poems from printed and manuscript sources, including some early manuscript poems. There are, as well, Appendices, Notes and Indexes in the second volume. 1072 pages in all. A ribbon marker in each volume. No dust wrappers, as issued; the books were likely sold in a case, which is missing. There is a chip and small tear at the spine head on Volume 1, plus some slightly bumped cover corners; else Fine. A scarce edition, printed in Switzerland.
