• Condition: The lid has a small (less then 1/4") flat chip on the top edge which does not effect the lid shape. The balance of the lid and jar are free of chips, cracks, crazing and fleabites, including around the spoon slot, lid flange and inner rim of the jar. The gold is excellent with minor wear. There are no notable marks or scratches from use and storage. The bottom has light shelf wear as expected. The jar is marked "Haviland France" in green underglaze, Mark I, which was used between 1894 and 1931. The lid and jar are decorator marked "Haviland & Co. Limoges" in red, mark c, used between 1889 and 1931. It's an exceptionally rare piece in any pattern.
