MAXIMILIAM SUNFLOIWER aka Prairie Sunflower. Perennial. American Wildflower Native to the plains and southwest. Can be grown in all zones. Maximilian sunflower is a tall, warm season, perennial which is a member of the true sunflower family. Bright yellow 3" blooms occur in late summer and bloom until first frost. This plant can reach 10' and makes a great green fence. There are tough as nails and are pretty much carefree once established. One of my favorite plants. Birds and bees love the flowers and seeds. Deer resistant. 200+ Quality seeds per order. Thank You!
Some American Native Wildflower seeds need to go through a cold winter to germinate. This plant is one of them. They do this so the seed won’t sprout in fall, only to have the seedling not make it through a cold winter. I have stratified these seeds to simulate a cold winter(stratification) This raises the germination rate considerably. Thanks for looking!!
