This is for an amazing one-of-a-kind photo album of Colonel Harland Sanders attending the grand opening of a new Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Colorado Springs in December of 1978. The album includes his signature card personalized by him as well as several candid photos of Colonel Sanders posing with "common folk" as well as a photo of him writing on cards.

You can tell how excited everyone is to meet him. There are also two local newspaper clippings promoting his visit. My understanding is that him appearing at a Grand Opening was rare and also completely random

Colonel Sanders was 88 years old here. In one photo he is getting out of what looks like a white Cadillac. In others photo it appears that his wife is with him. This album very likely shows his last public appearance. He died 2 years later almost to the exact day. This is a phenomenal piece of American entrepreneurial lore.

The clear protective plastic on each page lifts up cleanly from the photos. All auction photos were taken with the clear plastic in place. The photos in the album are clear/sharp in person.
