These were gathered wild in the Mojave desert
Woolly Daisy flowers measure about one inch in diameter and are formed of 5 to 10 yellow ray florets, dozens of tiny yellow disc florets, and 5 to 10 green-gray phyllaries, these are low and wide up to 4 inches tall
Native to the Mojave and Sonoran deserts of southeastern California to southern Nevada, and northwestern Arizona. These may produce only one flower head in dry seasons, but under wet conditions will branch repeatedly near the base and produce numerous flower heads.
