An ornate and elaborate Italian sconce from the Art Nouveau period, but possibly fro the Aesthetic Movement. This is a heavy—over 8 pounds— light, either cast silvered bronze or silvered brass. See photos for details. The sconce has updated wiring, new sockets, and new custom antiqued socket covers. The sconce was originally gas but has been converted to electric.
Period is estimated at 1890-1920.
This is a unique and beautiful light with fine casting details down to the pineapple finial. Vintage Tulip shades.
