Borrichia frutescens is a North American species of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae known by the common names sea oxeye, sea oxeye daisy, bushy seaside tansy, and sea-marigold. In Veracruz it is called verdolaga de mar. This is a salt-tolerant member of the aster family. Propagated easily from seed.
Sea Daisy or Bushy Seaside-tansyis a colony-forming, shrub-like perennial to 4 ft. tall, with ascending branches and attractive foliage. The fleshy, oval , semi-evergreen leaves are pubescent on both sides. Dotting the masses of gray-green foliage are bright yellow, daisy-like flowers.
