PAINTING FROM SKETCHES


James Fletcher-Watson, who sadly dled in Juno 2004, was one of the loading traditional landsoape watercolour artists in the UK. In this film he works in his studio and shows us how to paint watercolour landscapes from pencil sketches. Ho selects views of the Lake District and the Windrush river and gives detailed Instruction on how to paint the main elements of a landscape: skies, clouds, mountains, trees, buildings, water and reflections.
