This is a great way to get started or to augment an existing garden. They are drought tolerant plants. But, they do not take kindly to overly cold weather. These will have no roots, you will need to plant in the ground or in a pot. They will root usually within 2 - 3 weeks. Branches are smooth, cylindrical, green, about the diameter of a pencil. Branch tips are orange, red, or pink. The color tends to fade closer to yellow in the summer, and becomes redder in the winter. They will require moderate amount of water on a regular basis until fully rooted. Then normal moderate watering from there after (I water mine once per week, depending on the time of year and sun exposure).
