Another Cool Item Found Way In The Back Of Our Studio Wardrobe Department. The Photo Is Cardboard With Karl Perazzo Auth Original Autograph.

Perazzo, best known as a percussionist with Santana, had a direct influence on the modern Phish sound via his weeklong tour stint in late October and early November, 1996. The centerpiece, of course, was the “Phish-ification” of the Talking Heads’ Remain in Light on Halloween, 1996, though other highlights included the famed “Crosseyed Antelope” from 11/2/96. Earlier in the year, he played on “Taste” and “Llama” during a set where Phish opened for Santana. And, of course, back in 1992 he jammed out on “You Enjoy Myself,” “Llama,” and “Funky Bitch” along with Santana himself and fellow percussionist Raul Rekow.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Perazzo has long toured with Santana and has appeared on several of Carlos’ albums. He has also recorded and played with Malo, Dizzy Gillespie, Pete and Coke Escovedo, Prince, Mariah Carey and John Lee Hooker, as well as Latino greats Tito Puente and Ruben Blades.
