Vinyl plays with occasional crackles (play-graded). Gate-fold cover looks great; a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, tiny surface abrasions, and surface impressions (front/back/inner-gate). Inner-sleeve is original (generic white). Spine is easy-to-read with mild-wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. Arrow written in one side of label. (Not a cut-out.)
Paul and, by Paul Stookey, features the single Wedding Song (There Is Love): the song—which Stookey credits to divine inspiration. It has since been recorded by many singers (with versions by Petula Clark and Mary MacGregor returning it to the Billboard Hot 100) and remains a popular choice for performance at weddings. Stookey had first performed the song at the wedding of Peter Yarrow (Stookey's co-member of Peter Paul & Mary) to Mary Beth McCarthy at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Willmar, Minnesota. Stookey was best man at the ceremony, which took place in the evening of October 18, 1969. He refused to perform it for the public until Yarrow requested it at a concert where his wife was present. Stookey recorded "Wedding Song (There Is Love)" for his solo album Paul and. On this track he accompanied himself on a 12-string guitar tuned a tone and a half down. On June 28, 1971, Wedding Song was issued as advance single from the Paul and album to reach No. 24 on the Hot 100 in Billboard and reached No. 3 on the Easy Listening chart. Internationally, Stookey reached No. 31 in Canada and No. 55 in Australia with Wedding Song. Stookey assigned the copyright of this song to the Public Domain Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)3 that facilitates the creation and impact of music for social change (M4SC). Generating over $1.5 million for charity worldwide, PDF has facilitated the creation of M4SC through its Music to Life (M2L) contest and other educational, entertainment and outreach activities, bringing together the global community, communicating how activism through music is alive and possible.
