Frankincense (Boswellia) is extracted from a resin extracted from the bark of a tree that grows mainly in African Arab countries and India.
The common use of the plant is mainly for arthritis or chronic inflammation in the body and for the relief of asthma symptoms.
A study of asthma patients found that patients taking Boswellia reported improvement in respiration, and reduction of asthma attacks and thus the advantage of frankincense resin these days in relieving the breathing difficulties that exist through the mechanism of action of Boswellia acids in resin.
Boswellia extract allows rapid absorption of the resin.
