Golden Rutile Star on Quartz

You are bidding on a rough, unpolished piece of quartz with golden rutile needles and some with black hematite. The pieces are sliced with a flat back.   Size is shown by ruler numbers are centimeters.

Rutile is a titanium oxide and hematite is an iron oxide.  Rutile is most commonly seen as gold or black needle inclusions in quartz crystals, it is rare to see them not embedded in some other mineral.
