They are brand new. They are easy to use and keep clean. They are FDA approved 18/8 stainless steel and rustproof for cleaning. Wash before first use. Straws are dishwasher safe in top rack; however, hand wash is recommended for product's longevity. Silicone tip is removable for thorough cleaning. Straw cleaning brush and pouch are hand wash only. To wash pouch, gently wipe with a damp cloth. Not for use in freezer or microwave. Always use caution when handling hot liquids.
