Handsome, strong, wealthy young Phillip Quint heads off to England thanks to an invitation from two of his friends as he is bored in New York, and wants something interesting. His faithful man Friday-actually called Turk-accompanies him, and there is also the cute Lady Jane, who is sister to the wife of Lord Bob who invited Phil, and Jane's trusty admirer, Dick Savage.
Whilst there, they meet the Italian Prince Ugo, who seems familiar to Phil.. but he can't place him until he discovers an old flame, Dorothy, is engaged to said prince, and he sets out to rescue her from a miserable marriage and make her fall in love with him.
The lady suspects, but he gracefully and cleverly woos her, without openly declaring his love-which aggravates said lady, still engaged to the prince.
