ATQ Limoges Porcelain Nappy Dish Hand Painted Berries Flowers P & P 10” W.


Produced around the turn of the last century, this oval nappy dish has beautifully hand painted black and red berries, white flowers, blue/green leaves and is accented with a bright gold border and handle. The colors are quite stunning. This piece is in very good to excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is some wear and scratch marks on the gold gilt handle. Please see all photos for detail on condition and craftsmanship. The base is stamped "Limoges France P and P".

Of interesting note: These marks were used by Paroutaud Freres from 1903 to 1917. The factory was founded in Limoges, France, by Madame Vue Paroutaud and her sons, Pierre and Paul. The pottery had 2 factories in Limoges and one in La Seynie.
