RARE Antique Telechron Mantle Clock. This particular unit was produced approximately between 1931-1933 which was right before the Great Depression. This Telechron model is #606 "Winchester" when originally offered or also known as "Woodlawn" as it was later offered. Having a nice clock on your mantle was a sign of prosperity. This particular clock was sold originally at the price of $ 29.50 to give you idea of the dollar buying power comparison in today's market this clock would sell for a price of up to $ 433.38.What makes this clock so RARE is that only 478 clocks were produced and eventually shipped. Once the Great Depression hit the US the selling price was reduced to $ 12.50 still a very expensive item to own.The unit has a mahogany case with Spanish highlighting, satinwood panels and a crave center ornament.And it works , the clock comes with the original plug and cord.
