We don’t just work – sometimes we play and when we do it’s often computer or tabletop games. Recently we became acquainted with X-Wing, a tactical ship-to-ship combat game in which players take control of powerful Rebel X-wings and nimble Imperial TIE fighters (among others), facing them against each other in fast-paced space combat.

The first time we saw it played was at a local comic shop and the players used a simple piece of cloth to play on. Being design and gaming oriented I immediately thought…"why hasn't anyone brought out printed playing mats?"

Battle Mats are made from heavyweight water-resistant, poly/cotton blend canvas. This is the same canvas used for fine art prints found in galleries around the world. We chose this canvas to ensure our mats are bright and vibrant and hold up for years of play.
